The most important astronomy lesson...from a mouse

I just received a note from JK4 about some healing she was able to do by clearing up some communication, etc with her MIL. I was very touched and happy they were able to make a breakthrough.

She also mentioned we have been talking about Saturn, Venus, and Jupiter and astronomy in general. We do this for fun and, right now, to help with an on-going science project Paige is working on. (My knowledge of astronomy is miniscule, but we have fun.)

That got me thinking, Montana is a long ways away, but we can talk about and learn about and share about the 'same bright stars' (and planets) 'underneath this same big sky'...hey, didn't a mouse sing about that once?

(dang, it's hard to type on a laptop on your lap when it won't hold still because a little bit of weeping turns into more that a little bit of weeping.)

Love,

Somewhere Out There
Lyrics as performed byLinda Ronstadt and James Ingram
from the movie An American Tail (1987)
Somewhere Out There

written by James Horner, Barry Mann, Cynthia Weil

Somewhere out there beneath the pale moonlight
Someone's thinking of me and loving me tonight

Somewhere out there someone's saying a prayer
That we'll find one another in that big somewhere out there

And even though I know how very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star

And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky

Somewhere out there if love can see us through
Then we'll be together somewhere out there
Out where dreams come true

And even though I know how very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star

And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky

Somewhere out there if love can see us through
Then we'll be together somewhere out there
Out where dreams come true

Hee Hee Hee

As we left the surgeon's office the other day with Isaac, we walked out to the parking lot in the enclosed sidewalk overpass (thing). Whatever it's called. Catwalk? Then we took the elevator down to the parking lot and while we rode said elevator somebody passed gas. Just after we got out and emerged into the crowded hospital parking lot, Isaac yelled "DAD, I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU FARTED ON THE ELEVATOR!"
